The New York Jets signed two free agent edge rushers to eight-figure salaries in 2026, but it can be argued that neither is among the top 10 most discussed new additions to the team.
What gives?
On Friday, we broke down the film of one of those players, Joseph Ossai. Today, we shift our focus to former Green Bay Packers fifth-round pick Kingsley Enagbare, who joined the Jets on a one-year, $10 million contract in March.
Enagbare was a consistent contributor for the Green Bay defense. Across four seasons, he played 17 games each year, racking up at least two sacks and 30 total tackles in every season. However, he had a capped-out ceiling, never eclipsing 4.5 sacks or 39 total tackles.
The 2025 season was perhaps Enagbare’s best, as he tied his career-high for tackles (39) while setting a career-high in quarterback hits (9). The Jets rewarded him with a contract that should guarantee him a key role in their defensive line rotation, even if he isn’t a starter ahead of players like Ossai, rookie David Bailey, or Will McDonald.
So, what exactly did the Jets see in Enagbare to give him a one-year flier for an eight-figure salary?
The film can give us that answer.
In the latest edition of Blewett’s Blitz, we learn everything there is to know about Enagbare’s game in a full-fledged breakdown of his All-22 film.
