Unfortunately, for then-Zach Wilson, party-animal Dan Feeney, and many of the Robert Saleh-led New York Jets who actively attended New York sporting events, the Islanders could not accomplish what the Knicks have.

What was their loss was another man’s gain, as Breece Hall was spotted in San Antonio to witness New York sports history.

In a clip posted by the New York Post, the Jets’ talented offensive weapon was spotted at Game 5, in the same vicinity as Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Hall, 25, is spotted anywhere but courtside. Unlike many of the household names not just mentioned on the broadcast โ€” but oftentimes shoved down our throats during the game โ€” Hall (along with Dart) was seated somewhere up above.

Granted, the location is most likely anti-nosebleed, but Hall’s location is just one of many signs that Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals was as hot a ticket as has been in quite some time.

The Knicks’ 94-90 victory over the Spurs cemented the organization’s first title in 53 years. Interestingly, that’s just one fewer year than the curse their hockey brothers, the New York Rangers, had to endure when they won the Stanley Cup in 1994 โ€” their first since 1940.

Many of the Jets haven’t just commented on the Knicks’ near-mythical playoff run, but they have also been invested. Head coach Aaron Glenn and wide receiver Garrett Wilson are just two Jets employees to speak publicly about their Greater Metropolitan neighbors and how the potential for inspiration is in the air.

A little over a month ago, Hall and the Jets agreed to a three-year, $43.5 million deal that guarantees the Iowa State product a cool $29 million.

Breece Hall rushed for 1,065 yards and 4 touchdowns, while compiling 350 yards and a score on 36 receptions, in 16 games last season.
