Heading into the 2026 NFL season, Bleacher Report has ranked every player in the NFL through 0-100 ratings, calculated by various experts with accompanying scouting reports.

Five scouts graded players in five categories and made a composite grade. They then broke the players into tiers:

  • Backup, Developmental: Below Grades 60
  • Replacement Level: Grades 60-64
  • Functional Performer: Grades 65-69
  • Reliable Contributor: Grades 70-74
  • Critical Roster Piece: Grades 75-79
  • High-Quality Starter: Grades 80-84
  • Pro Bowl Caliber: Grades 85-89
  • All Pro Ability: Grades 90-93
  • Franchise Cornerstones: Grades 94-96

The grades for this study are for the 2026 season and do not include rookies.

So where do the New York Jets players rank?

Right Tackle:

Armand Membou, 78, RT4 (OL28)

“Membou started all 17 games as a rookie and immediately announced himself with a dominant Week 1 performance against T.J. Watt. An impressive physical profile translated quickly. Membou plays with natural leverage, core-strength and explosive power, giving him the ability to flip leverage late in reps and create full-body knockdowns at a rare rate for a young blocker. His burst and power also appeared on backside cutoffs, climbs and downfield finishes, where he could get defenders on their heels and steer them into displacement. Refinement and nuance remain a work in progress. In the run game, Membou can drop his eyes and get too heavy on contact, especially on frontside kickouts, leaving him susceptible to overextension. In pass protection, his outside hand can land too far down the middle of rushers, giving savvy edge defenders a path to set him up inside before attacking high side. Even with those technical cleanups remaining, Membou’s rookie tape showed a starter-level floor, with rare physical flashes and enough high-end traits to project a notable upward trajectory.”

“Garrett Wilson was a consistent 1,000-yard receiver until last season, when he played only seven games. He injured his knee in Week 6 and re-aggravated it in Week 10. Wilson is a talented receiver who plays all over the formation. He is a good route-runner but has been held back by inadequate quarterback play over his career. Wilson separates from man and zone defenses well with good football IQ and tempo. He’s a sudden and fluid route-runner who will test cornerbacks’ movement skills. He’s one of the biggest “what-ifs” in the NFL; hopefully, a good quarterback will walk through the Jets’ doors before it’s too late.”

He’s a difference-maker as a receiver out of the backfield in the passing game. The Jets aren’t known as a diamond mine of offensive talent, but Hall is clearly a diamond in the rough.”

Takeaways:

Coming off a 3-13 season, it’s not surprising that Jets players didn’t grade too highly. Still, there are some exciting takeaways.

The Jets’ highest-ranked player is second-year offensive tackle Armand Membou, who came in as the fourth-best right tackle in the NFL. After only one season, Membou is already being viewed as one of the best players at his position. Overall, the offensive line had a strong finish behind the Jets’ core trio of Membou, Fashanu, and Tippmann.

The Jets’ highest-graded player is safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Acquired for a seventh-round pick earlier this year, Fitzpatrick is still viewed as a top player at his position. Fitzpatrick, along with the Jets’ other veteran additions, is already taking a leadership role and helping establish the culture Aaron Glenn wants.

Unfortunately, that’s about everything that Jets fans will be happy about.

The Jets playmakers didn’t get much love. Among all skill positions (QB, RB, WR, TE), Garrett Wilson ranked 60th, while Breece Hall ranked 70th.

The biggest shock is Wilson, who came in as the 22nd-best receiver. While Wilson has dealt with a revolving door at quarterback, he eclipsed 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons before a knee injury cut his fourth season short.

In the end, this is just another way to kill time until the NFL season returns. Players like Mason Taylor and Azaraye’h Thomas should not be written off because Bleacher Report graded them poorly.

Thankfully for fans who are tired of these rankings, the wait is coming to an end. The Hall of Fame game is tomorrow night (Thursday, 8 p.m. EST). Then, finally, the New York Jets return to MetLife Stadium next Friday.
