Robby Anderson calls out Boomer Esiason for what he deems as “false news,” which could mean great news for the New York Jets.
“You, sir, are fake news.” It’s a common phrase uttered by a certain individual in today’s world, one that brings an irrational emotional reaction on either side (there’s usually only two in this cut-and-dry world).
Interestingly, an NFL man has taken the phrase and decided to put it into action and it’s created a scenario that may bode well for the New York Jets organization.
On Wednesday, former Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson called a report detailing his dealings with his former team “false news.”
“False news y’all need to better jobs reporting and putting out fake news too ppl,” Anderson tweeted, via SNY.
The retort came after WFAN’s Boomer Esiason claimed the Jets offered Anderson a four-year, $40 million deal that the Teaneck, NJ native turned down. Boomer made the claim Tuesday on the “Boomer and Gio” show.
