Former New York Jets linebacker Jamaal Westerman joins Joe Blewett to help break down Jabari Zuniga film on Blewett’s Blitz.
What’s a football junkie to do when other brains and angles are desired? Having a former New York Jets linebacker on to help break things down certainly qualified as a solution.
Brooklyn-native Jamaal Westerman joined Joe Blewett on Wednesday to help break down Jabari Zuniga’s game.
Westerman, 35, played for the Jets from 2009 through 2011. Warm thoughts come to the Jets fan’s mind when thinking of the Rutgers product due to that very timeframe. Those Rex Ryan seasons represent the last tremendous Jets era experienced.
In 2011, he finished with 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and 32 total tackles for the 8-8 Jets. In addition to his spot-start duties, he was a favorite of special teams coordinator Mike Westhoff.
Zuniga is a kid coming in hoping to solve the Jets edge woes. Whether or not he can help get that done in 2020 and/or beyond remains to be seen.
Jamaal Westerman and Joe Blewett try to find those answers.
