Jamal Adams already made his intentions crystal clear. While, admittedly, he oftentimes held back his opinions out of fear for wanting to be liked by everybody in the past, today, he’s unabashedly doing everything he can for the causes he feels are worthwhile.

The New York Jets‘ best player was spotted protesting in the streets of Dallas Friday.

The NFL on ESPN Twitter account originally posted the video that came from Adams’s Instagram story. The Prez responded with a quote-tweet that tips the cap to one of his favorites, Nipsey Hustle.

“They say every man is defined by his reaction to any given situation.
Well who would you want to define you? Someone else or yourself? -Nipsey Hussle.”

Adams, 24, has witnessed his name in the offseason headlines quite frequently. First, it dealt with the frustrating topic that is his contract extension negotiation. Adams clearly wants a new deal before he heads into the fourth year of his five-year rookie deal while Joe Douglas and the Jets want to point to NFL precedent and hold off until next offseason.

Now, Adams’s heightened publicity deals with his non-football journey.

Adams recently took part in a made-by-stars video with the express intent to communicate directly to the NFL. He’s also constantly tweeted since the George Floyd tragedy took place, even responding to the Drew Brees incident with a simple message: “Damnit Drew.”

Considering there will be no minicamp this offseason, Jets players won’t hit the field in any official capacity until training camp near the end of July.
