A couple of Jamal Adams‘ New York Jets teammates finally speak, training camp position battles and Madden 21 rookie ratings on Sabo Radio 52.
Finally, a couple of Jamal Adams‘ New York Jets teammates have spoken out about the Prez’s contract situation.
It took a good month for it to happen, which means one of two things: it’s a coincidence to due the fact training camp is nearing and media members will hound Jets players about the Adams topic, or the man himself is looking to reimmerse himself into the culture of the organization.
These guys are only human. Perhaps Adams sees the light at the end of the tunnel and realizes he isn’t going anywhere. Considering he loves the game, and knows holding out would only hurt his financial situation from an overall perspective, chatting it up with teammates ahead of camp would be the proper way to go.
Le’Veon Bell was one of the teammates he had a long conversation with, according to the veteran running back. While on Hot 97 with Peter Rosenberg last Friday, Bell firmly believes Adams still wants to be a Jet and that he just wants to be fairly compensated.
Adams would go bonkers either privately or publicly if Bell spoke out of turn. Of course, while the private route is possible, it’s doubtful at the moment considering Adams’ willingness to make social media noise. Crickets have defined his accounts for a good week-and-change.
Elsewhere, we identify training camp position battles. The No. 3 wide receiver spot (yes, that includes Denzel Mims) is up for grabs as is the entire offensive line. The No. 2 edge and No. 2 corner are also positions to keep an eye on once camp commences.
Lastly, we review the two Jets rookies who now know their Madden 21 rookie ratings, the previously mentioned Mims and quarterback James Morgan.
