The New York Jets have claimed defensive back Zane Lewis off waivers while running back Pete Guerriero resurfaces.
The defensive back-wide receiver carousel continues in Florham Park, NJ.
According to the league’s official transaction wire and the team’s official Twitter account, the New York Jets have acquired defensive back Zane Lewis off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals.

Lewis, 22, signed with Arizona in may after he went undrafted in the virtual 2020 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound DB tallied two interceptions, 94 total tackles and 21 pass deflections in 30 games with the Air Force football team over three seasons.
Offensively, running back Pete Guerriero is also back in town. He’s already visited Florham Park, per the transaction wire, in anticipation of re-signing with the team after finding himself cut around the same time the Kalen Ballage trade leaked.
Considering the Ballage trade was nixed, due to a failed physical, the former Monmouth standout and New Jersey local may have found himself another job in a hurry (with the same organization, of course).
The Jets also recently signed Donte Moncrief and released kicker Brett Maher on Monday.
