The New York Jets brass will be monitoring head coach Adam Gase very closely in Week 3 and Week 4, according to a recent report.
It finally appears as though the New York Jets organization is taking action.
The Jets will be monitoring head coach Adam Gase very closely this week and next (Week 3, Week 4), according to a report from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
Jets coach Adam Gase is under more intense scrutiny this week and it's not just the external noise from media or fans. League sources say even w/ injuries, Jets' brass monitoring this week closely, today vs. Colts but perhaps more telling is TNF vs. Broncos. Interesting watch.

“Jets coach Adam Gase is under more intense scrutiny this week and it’s not just the external noise from media or fans,” Mortensen tweeted early Sunday afternoon. “League sources say even w/ injuries, Jets’ brass monitoring this week closely, today vs. Colts but perhaps more telling is TNF vs. Broncos. Interesting watch.”
Gase, 42, has been under heavy heat from media and fans since taking over as head coach in January 2019—a move widely panned by the majority of the fan base.
His 7-11 record with the Jets looks even worse when realizing how uncompetitive the team has been in the majority of the losses. Gase’s Jets have lost nine games by double-digits, which is exactly the number of wins the team has since the start of the 2019 campaign.
Making matters worse is the idea Mekhi Becton‘s presence has helped transform a terrible offensive line into a legitimate unit, and Sam Darnold continues to struggle with Gase as his play-caller.
The 0-2 New York Jets are currently in Indianapolis readying themselves for a Week 3 showdown with the 1-1 Colts. Week 4 features a banged-up Denver Broncos team visiting MetLife Stadium for a Thursday night affair.
