Former New York Jets cornerback Marcus Coleman joins Blewett’s Blitz to discuss the midseason topics and future outlook.
New York Jets fans will never forget the greatest game in Monday Night Football history. Dubbed the “Monday Night Miracle,” the offensive heroes were plentiful. Jumbo Elliott, Vinny Testaverde, Wayne Chrebet and the man who won it in overtime, kicker John Hall, all starred at the Meadowlands 20 years ago.
It’s important to also remember the defensive heroes.
Cornerback Marcus Coleman didn’t just pick off Jay Fiedler once. He didn’t do it twice. The man picked off the Miami Dolphins quarterback three times in the game, including twice in overtime.
It was Coleman’s final pick that eventually set up Hall’s game-winner that sent the remaining fans home happy.
Today, Coleman remains heavily involved in football. He’s the defensive backs coach at Trinity University Football and breaks down film with the best of them.
Coleman joins Blewett’s Blitz Live for a 2020 Jets midseason review and future outlook discussion. What does the future hold for Joe Douglas’s Jets? Is Trevor Lawrence in their future? What happens to Sam Darnold? How are the young kids coming along? Are there any Jet defensive backs ready to make their mark?
