This will mark the first three-game preseason slate in league history, as the league cut down from the usual four while expanding the regular season by an extra game. In another new twist, overtime has been eliminated from the summer exhibition contests. Preseason games return to the NFL slate for the first time since 2019, as last year’s proceedings were entirely wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Saturday, August 14: @ NY Giants
(7:30 p.m. ET, WNBC)
The annual “Snoopy Bowl” will mean a little more this time around. Not only is the series tied 25-25-1, but, more importantly, both the Jets and Giants will play in front of their hometown fans for the first time since the end of the 2019-20 season. MetLife Stadium has not hosted fans at a sporting event since February 2020, when the XFL’s New York Guardians battled the Los Angeles Wildcats.
This will mark the 52nd annual battle for New Jersey, a long-running summer tradition interrupted only by the health crisis. The 2013 meeting will go down as the Jets’ last overtime preseason contest. Billy Cundiff booted a 32-yard field goal to give the Jets a 24-21 win, but that game later became infamous for its role as Mark Sanchez’s final appearance in a New York uniform, as the former first-round pick suffered a shoulder injury that removed him from the entire 2013 season.
Saturday, August 21: @ Green Bay

This rare afternoon exhibition will mark the Jets’ first preseason visit to Lambeau Field since 2000, when Richie Anderson and Curtis Martin united for three touchdowns in a 37-24 defeat. New York will also partake in its first afternoon preseason game since 2003 (a win over Cincinnati at Giants Stadium).
The game will air on local station WLNY and the Jets’ official website, as the Jets’ usual summer home of WCBS will join in progress following their coverage of The Northern Trust golf tournament.
Friday, August 27: vs. Philadelphia
(7:30 p.m. ET, WCBS)
A Week 13 regular season meeting between the Jets and Eagles – the 17th game for each squad in the concept’s debut – won’t shut down the annual summer series that dates back to 2000. While the Jets have never clipped the Eagles in the regular season, they are 14-7 in the traditional preseason final, with triumphs coming in the last four.
