Robert Saleh personifies his “All Gas, No Brake” mentality with MetLife Stadium workout
The jury is still out on New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh, but one thing appears certain: he’s a man of his word.
Saleh perhaps personified his “All Gas, No Brake” mantra on Saturday, as even the relative peace of the pregame is no opportunity to shut down. The Jets’ new boss was captured on video getting in a late workout through jogging up the stairs of MetLife Stadium.

Saleh’s “Rocky” moment comes hours before the Jets open their 2021 preseason slate against the New York Giants (7:30 p.m. ET, WNBC).
With Saturday’s temperatures breaking 90 degrees and MetLife decked out in the Giants’ blue shades – Saturday’s game is a designated Big Blue home game – Saleh looks downright defiant as he makes the trek up East Rutherford’s stairs. The seats he jogs by will hold Jets fans for an officially sanctioned game at MetLife Stadium for the first time since December 2019.
Observers on social media could not help but get pumped up about the new head coach’s pregame routine.
That’s my HC! ✈️

It appears that Saleh has carried over at least one pregame ritual from his days in the Bay Area. Then the San Francisco 49ers’ defensive coordinator, Saleh was routinely seen patrolling the stands during the team’s run to Super Bowl LIV.

Even the big game itself was no deterrent to Saleh getting his laps, as Fox Sports’ cameras caught him in a pregame run before the Niners’ heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
