Plenty of frustrated New York Jets fans have been lashing out on social media – and Mekhi Becton has had enough.
Becton was minding his own business on a Tuesday night, praising a dominant rep on film from Cleveland’s Myles Garrett.

The 22-year-old budding star injured his knee in the Jets’ season opener against the Carolina Panthers when teammate Greg Van Roten inadvertently fell on his leg.
Becton had surgery and is expected to miss 4-to-8 weeks from the time of the injury, setting him up to return somewhere from Week 7 (at New England) to Week 10 (vs. Buffalo). New York has its bye in Week 6 after traveling to London to take on the Falcons in Week 5.
Joe Douglas‘ first draft pick is looking to build off of an impressive finish to his rookie season that saw him rank as Pro Football Focus’ 10th-best run-blocking left tackle and ninth-best pass-blocking left tackle from Weeks 11-17.

Becton’s 2021 offseason was mired by practice struggles against teammate Carl Lawson, but Becton did all he could in the preseason to quell the concerns regarding his performance on the practice field. He ranked as PFF’s third-best left tackle in the preseason, putting out dominant performances against the Giants and Packers.
