Mark Sanchez again gets caught eating a hot dog at work
Over a decade later, Mark Sanchez is still getting grilled over his love of hot dogs.
The former New York Jets quarterback has entered into a new partnership with Washington D.C.-based performance menswear company Mizzen+Main, one that has labeled him a new intern in a series of social media posts.
Alas, Sanchez can’t escape from his meaty past.
One such post depicts Sanchez, sitting in on a meeting, trying to spice up the proceedings by enjoying a frankfurter, much to the chagrin of the presenter.
The sketch is a reference to a 2009 incident where Sanchez, then a rookie quarterback, was caught stealthily eating a hot dog while viewing the final stages of a blowout win over the Oakland Raiders.

Sanchez denies his indulging at first but quickly loses his composure. Somehow, his game-day snack only lengthens when he finally confesses to the culinary crime.
“Can’t a guy just down a dog when he wants to down a dog?” an exasperated Sanchez asks in frustration. The quarterback’s neighboring co-worker finally sympathizes and provides Sanchez with a large bottle of ketchup.
Sanchez is one of Mizzen+Main’s latest athletic endorsers, joining All-Pro defender J.J. Watt and champion golfer Phil Mickelson.

The company was founded in 2012 by Kevin Lavelle who sought to “combine comfort and flexibility with fit and style for the modern man on the move” after seeing congressmen, staffers, and interns in the nation’s capital deal with sweat in dress shirts.
The modern Jets will take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium (1 p.m. ET, CBS). Sanchez will be in the analyst’s role for Fox Sports’ coverage of the Washington Football Team’s visit to Atlanta alongside Kevin Kugler and Laura Okmin (1 p.m. ET, Fox).
