Woody Johnson keeps New York Jets fans updated on the uniform front
Any Jets fan clamoring for uniform news should make sure to turn on tweet notifications for Woody Johnson‘s Twitter account.
The New York Jets‘ owner revealed the uniform set that his team will be donning when it takes on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their final MetLife Stadium contest of the 2021 season.

New York will be wearing green jerseys, green pants, and white socks, according to Johnson’s tweet that features a trio of aptly-colored circle emojis and a photo of Zach Wilson rocking the combo.
This will be New York’s second game of the season wearing an all-green look, previously bearing the look in a home game against the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 12. The pickled garb was not modeled very appealingly as the Jets took a 30-9 loss and scored no touchdowns.
The Jets have donned green-on-green six times since introducing their new uniforms in 2019, with all of those games being played at home. They have a 2-4 record when resembling the Jolly Green Giant.
It is becoming a tradition of sorts for the Jets to wear the all-green uniform in their final home game. They did the same in both 2019 and 2020. Sure enough, both of those games were wins – a 16-10 victory over the Steelers in 2019 and a 23-16 victory over the Browns in 2020.

Outside of home finales, the Jets are 0-4 when wearing green-on-green in the updated uniform set. That includes the 2019 “Seeing Ghosts” loss to the Patriots, a 2020 loss to the Bills in Denzel Mims’ debut, the infamous “Cover Zero Blitz” loss to the Raiders in 2020, and the aforementioned Saints loss earlier this year.
