Zach Wilson thanks his offensive line
Last Sunday, the New York Jets capped off their 2021 season with a 27-10 loss in Buffalo, finishing the year with a 4-13 record. While the team will not be participating in the playoffs and is in the process of heading home for the offseason, the offensive line will not leave empty-handed.
As a thank-you, rookie quarterback Zach Wilson gave every lineman two round-trip tickets from New York to anywhere they would like with JetBlue Mint. Wilson shared a video on Twitter in which he presents the linemen with their gifts.
Love and appreciate my guys. Thanks for protecting me all season long. Can’t wait to run it back next season. @nyjets @jetblue #partner pic.twitter.com/uWRT0gV1RS

“Trying to take care of the O-line this year. Thanking them for protecting me,” said Wilson. “I hope those guys enjoy it. I really appreciate them, you know, taking care of me.”
It has become somewhat of a tradition in the NFL for quarterbacks to give their offensive line gifts over the years. Whether it’s for Christmas or at the end of the season, quarterbacks usually hook up their linemen with something nice.
There have been a few other notable examples of this around the league this season. Kyler Murray gave his offensive line custom golf bags and Dak Prescott gave his linemen exclusive Air Jordans.
Wilson didn’t just get his linemen any tickets, though. Mint is JetBlue’s name for first-class – and the guys were loving it.
“We out man,” said tackle George Fant. “Probably Bahamas or something.”
“The wifey is going to enjoy this,” said tackle Morgan Moses.
With the offseason nearly in full swing, players will have a lot more time for themselves and their families. Thanks to their franchise quarterback, New York’s offensive linemen have something nice to look forward to as they wind down into offseason mode.
