Garrett Wilson will seek to become the New York Jets’ first homegrown, four-digit receiver since 2007
New York Jets fans are about to develop the biggest Wilson obsession since Tom Hanks.
Gang Green gained Garrett Wilson with the 2022 NFL draft‘s top 10’s final selection on Thursday in Las Vegas.

The Ohio State alum becomes the Jets’ highest aerial arrival since they opened 1996’s proceedings with Keyshawn Johnson as they seek to bolster Zach Wilson’s receivers gallery.
Wilson, an athletic playmaker, ended his Columbus career with 2,213 yards on 143 receptions, 23 of which went for touchdowns. Some were surprised that the first-team All-Big Ten selection opted to enter the league early, but his strong hands and ability to win jump ball battles create a formidable, if not raw, green receivers room, which is set to welcome back last year’s second-round talent Elijah Moore.
No drafted Jets receiver has reached 1,000 yards since Jerricho Cotchery in 2007.
The Jets’ next selection is currently scheduled for Friday’s second round at No. 35 overall.
