NFL MVP bets are quickly mounting for Zach Wilson
NFL bettors seem to be loving Zach Wilson’s offseason program so far.
Wilson has become one of the league’s most popular bets to win the NFL MVP award in the 2022 season. According to Caesars Sportsbook, Wilson has received more NFL MVP bets in the month of July than Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady.

Wilson’s odds currently sit at 150/1 at Caesars Sportsbook. A $100 bet would pay out $15,000.
The BYU product has recently been the primary subject of discussions among NFL fans during the quiet days of the offseason. He has been in the news for relationship drama stemming from unconfirmed accusations on Instagram by his ex-girlfriend.
Most likely, NFL fans are poking fun at Wilson’s relationship drama by betting on him to win NFL MVP. However, the former BYU quarterback could be looked at as a legitimately interesting value bet for Most Valuable Player.
On paper, the Jets got a lot better this off-season. Whether it was bringing in quality veterans from free agency or crushing the NFL draft, the Jets now have playmakers on both sides of the ball.
Elijah Moore, Garret Wilson, and Corey Davis form a nice trio of receivers while Breece Hall and Michael Carter are a legit 1-2 punch out of the backfield. To add to the offensive line, the Jets went out and got Pro Bowl guard Laken Tomlinson to upgrade Wilson’s backside.
The Jets’ defense also got much better. General manager Joe Douglas added Sauce Gardner, D.J. Reed, and Jordan Whitehead to one of the league’s worst secondaries. They also added depth and veteran leadership to an already strong defensive line.
With Zach Wilson’s sky-high potential and physical tools, it’s fair to expect him to take a big leap in his second season. Plenty of bettors are counting on it.
