Ndamukong Suh not interested in Jets, calls them non-contenders

Ndamukong Suh talks NFL future, New York Jets, on Rich Eisen Show.

There have been two types of people this offseason: Those who believe Aaron Rodgers makes the New York Jets Super Bowl contenders, and those who don’t. Count All-Pro DT Ndamukong Suh among the latter.

Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Suh discussed the future of his NFL career. A free agent entering his 14th year in the league, it’s likely the 36-year-old waits for the perfect situation to arise if he intends on playing again this season.

“I don’t know (what my plans will be),” Suh said on the Rich Eisen Show.”It’s got to be, honestly, the right situation. Last year, I waited until the middle of the year. I had a bunch of phone calls before that, even prior to the season… I’ll say this, all options are on the table.”

All options except the Jets, it seems.

With the Jets still in need of defensive line depth, Eisen pointed out the potential opportunity for Suh. After all, an Aaron Rodgers-led Jets team does have a chance at making a deep playoff run. Suh, however, isn’t buying it.

“I don’t know (about joining the Jets),” Suh said. “When Aaron Rogers and that deal transpires, do I think they will be a Super Bowl contender? No. I think Aaron Rodgers is amazing and I think he is a great quarterback. But there are a lot of things that have to transpire to become Super Bowl contenders. I don’t know where their offense is overall right now, and adding just one particular piece, it’s a little bit different.”

To be honest, Suh does have somewhat of a point. Rodgers would be a massive upgrade over the QB carousel of Flacco, Zach Wilson, Mike White, and Chris Streveler that Jet fans had to endure last season. But there are still big questions that need to be answered on the offense regarding the offensive line, the tight end position, and the recovery of Breece Hall.

While the Jets are still in need of adding depth to the defensive line, it’s safe to say we can cross Suh off the list of potential additions.

Suh could not play for us given the character-based player that Joe D and Saleh want.
He was, and will always be, a dirty, unethical player.
As for his ability to analyze the upcoming year….well, it’s a family site, so I’ll defer comment.

In other words, I’m going to wait at least half the year to see which team I can latch on to, make 9 tackles, and cherry pick a ring. I wouldn’t waste my time with this trash. He’s done, look at his stats from last year and see what he contributed to that team to “earn” his ring.

That’s good, because I definitely didn’t want him on this team anyway. Locker room cancer and all around nasty person.
