Jets QB Aaron Rodgers double-dipped at MSG this weekend
Perhaps Chicago Cubs all-time great summed it up best when he once popularized the phrase, “Let’s play two.” Evidently, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is in love with that idea.
Rodgers, 39, the Jets’ new franchise quarterback—that still has fans giddy—attended the New York Knicks-Miami Heat Game 1 contest at Madison Square Garden Sunday afternoon.

Where Banks’s time-tested quote comes in is the fact that Rodgers enjoyed an MSG double-dip this weekend.
On Saturday night, the new No. 8 saw the New York Rangers trounce the New Jersey Devils, 5-2, at MSG, in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1 series matchup.
GREAT CHOICE, AARON. 😇

He even got in on the Rangers’ goal song:

Fortunately for Rodgers, the home-team Rangers finally got back on track in Game 6. After slapping the Devils silly in the first two games in New Jersey, the Rangers fell flat in Games 3, 4, and 5.
The triumphant win, led by all-world, goaltender Igor Shesterkin, now sets up a winner-take-all Game 7 Monday night at the Prudential Center.
Rodgers wasn’t so lucky on the MSG hardwood, unfortunately.
Despite shocking the basketball world in Round 1—a 4-1 series win over Donovan Mitchell’s Cleveland Cavaliers—the Knicks were beaten by the rival Miami Heat in Game 1, 108-101. Jimmy Butler’s 25 points and Kyle Lowry’s late-game peskiness was just enough to overcome a hot start from RJ Barrett and continual professionalism from point guard Jalen Brunson.
Rodgers arrived in Florham Park, NJ, last Wednesday, with much fanfare and excitement. He’s already hit the practice field with Allen Lazard and company—seeking acclimation to his new team.
One wonders when he’ll get to Yankee Stadium and Citi Field, as his New York honeymoon continues.
