The New York Jets’ offensive line is one of the most promising aspects of their roster entering 2026, and offensive coordinator Frank Reich has taken notice.

“It’s really good. Young and hungry group, but seasoned,” Reich said of the Jets’ OL on Wednesday. “They’ve played football together; it’s already been well documented, the whole year last year, four of the five, as you said. Extremely well coached, Steve Heiden, Natty (Brian Natkin), and Al Netter do a great job coaching those guys. They know how to work. I mean, they’re really physically talented. They know what we’re trying to do. I sense a real consistency among the group and the right mentality.”

The only change on the Jets’ starting OL from last season to this year was at left guard, as John Simpson signed with the Baltimore Ravens in free agency and Gang Green swapped him out for Dylan Parham, who is expected to be an upgrade.

Parham’s contract is also projected to be a better value. The 26-year-old graded out as a better overall player than Simpson last year per Pro Football Focus, yet he inked a two-year, $16 million contract with New York, while Simpson, 28, signed on a three-year, $30 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

After the team locked up Joe Tippmann on a four-year extension, the Jets have all five of their starting offensive lineman under contract through the 2027 season.

Last year, the Jets’ offensive line statistics were skewed largely by how long their quarterbacks held on to the football. Many of their sacks allowed in 2025 had little to do with their pass protection and were instead due to poor quarterback play.

Entering 2026, blocking for veteran Geno Smith, the Jets’ offensive line hopes to firmly establish itself as one of the better lines in the league.
