New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers gave more updates on his recovery from an Achilles injury during his weekly appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show”
Another week, another “Aaron Rodgers Tuesday.”
Appearing on his weekly spot on the “Pat McAfee Show,” the Jets’ quarterback spoke about his recovery and progression from his Achilles injury.

“It’s been a tough week of rehab. It’s kind of smaller gains when you get to a certain point. I’m not having the jumps that I had early on, where you’re out of the cast, and you’re out of the boot,” said Rodgers.
“And then you’re in a shoe, you’re upping the percentage on the alter-g. It’s been more of a grind the last week or so, but there are a lot of good things we are trending towards.”
Rodgers also said that once he can walk normally in a shoe, something he suggested to be “really close,” a more significant jump in his recovery can be reached.
Later in the show, McAfee asked Rodgers if he was using crutches or any support to walk. The quarterback responded that he is “not walking without a limp” yet and hasn’t used crutches since before October 15.
"I'm not walking without a limp yet..
I was joking that when I was flying back for the game on the 15th I assumed that I had left my crutches in the car..
By the time I got to the airport there were no crutches in the car & I have been walking since" ~ @AaronRodgers12 #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/qZry8dAak6

Given what Rodgers has said over the past two days, it seems that his recovery will start to pick up more steam once he can walk normally. Once that occurs, Rodgers will seemingly start progressing toward being able to participate in football activities.
In the meantime, the story remains the same for the Jets. If the team can win enough games to either be in contention for the playoffs or be firmly in them, there is a shot their star quarterback could return. The goal is in sight for the Jets, and now they have to execute in their remaining games to make it a reality.
