Playing the popular video game on his stream, the New York Jets’ cornerback bested the star Dolphins wideout in a 1-vs-1 matchup
New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner is not only talented at shutting down opposing wide receivers on the football field.
On his Twitch live stream, Gardner faced off against Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill in a one-on-one matchup on the popular video game “Fortnite.” As for the result, Gardner got the best of Hill and took the victory.

“1v1 vs Tyreek. Y’all know what happened. No need to edit, easy work,” said Gardner in his post on Twitter.
Hill had previously posted on the platform asking who the best Fortnite player in the league was between himself and Gardner. It also had a video of Hill defeating Gardner in a previous matchup.

Gardner, who was the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2022 and a first-team All-Pro, has built up a large following on the Twitch streaming platform.
The star cornerback has 117,000 followers and typically plays a few specific games. Gardner plays the aforementioned Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Grand Theft Auto V. On GTA V, the cornerback runs a role-playing server called “New Sauce City.”
In addition to playing with other NFL players, Gardner has also played Fortnite with some of his Twitch subscribers. Earlier this week, Gardner played with a young fan and proceeded to gift him an XBOX along with two controllers, two gift cards, and a headset.

Gardner, with his entertaining personality and upper-echelon hand-eye coordination, has translated extremely well to the video game sphere. With his play on the field only getting better, Gardner should be able to constantly improve and expand his video game streaming to the next level.
