With Week 18 here, numerous teams are vying for a chance at the NFL playoffs. That means there are plenty of odds to take advantage of using the ESPN Bet Sportsbook App and its Specials Props section.

One of the most interesting matchups involves rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, as he attempts to lead the Houston Texans to a playoff berth. Standing in his way is the surprising Indianapolis Colts, led by Gardner Minshew.

Due to ESPN Bet’s recent and unique launch—on Nov. 14, 2023—our ESPN Bet Bonus Code immediately became available in these 17 states. It’s something that greatly contrasts with the state-by-state model many of the other mega-sportsbooks are forced to follow, such as FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook.

Better yet, the ESPN Bet NFL Promo is set to drop in yet another state soon. The early 2024 launch of North Carolina Sports Betting is expected to include ESPN Bet and its extremely generous new-user promos.

ESPN Bet: NFL Week 18 Specials Props

For those unfamiliar with the ESPN Bet app, there are more options than your standard props and spreads. One unique betting option falls under the Specials Props legal online gambling bucket.

These props usually involve multiple props in a single bet. Essentially, these are single-bet parlays—with some interesting odds to boot.

However, users can parlay these Specials Props as well, allowing for endless opportunities for X-Factor bettors.

Let’s take a look at which Specials Props are worth targeting in this Week 18 matchup.

C.J. Stroud Over 249.5 Passing Yards & Devin Singletary Anytime Scorer (+275)

Rookie C.J. Stroud has been a revelation for the Houston Texans. There’s little doubt he’ll take home NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and will look to lead Houston to its first playoff appearance since 2019. Week 18 will mark his second game back after returning from a concussion, and the stage couldn’t be any bigger.

When Stroud faced the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2, he put on a show. The rookie went 30-47 with 384 passing yards with two touchdowns.

The Colts’ defensive scheme relies heavily on zone coverage, and that’s where Stroud excels. The rookie has the second-highest points per dropback against zone coverage this season among all quarterbacks.

As for Devin Singletary, “The Motor” has completely taken the reigns from incumbent starter Dameon Pierce. While Singletary hasn’t scored in the last three weeks, he’s faced some of the stiffest run-stopping defenses in the league in the Tennessee Titans (x2) and Cleveland Browns.

Despite that, Singletary has averaged over 106 scrimmage yards per game and an impressive 4.84 yards per carry average. I’m expecting Week 18 to be where he sees the fruits of his labor.

The Colts are one of the worst teams at stopping the run this season. They’ve given up 21 rushing touchdowns on the year, good for fourth-most in the league. The defense also allows a first down via rushing at a 24.1% clip, leading to the fifth-most first downs via rushing.

I’m not expecting Singletary to break off monster gains, but his ability as a rusher and pass-catcher makes this prop worth taking.

C.J. Stroud Over 249.5 Passing Yards & Nico Collins Over 69.5 Receiving Yards & Receiving Touchdown (+325), C.J. Stroud Over 249.5 Passing Yards & Nico Collins Anytime Scorer (+260), C.J. Stroud Over 1.5 Passing TD & Nico Collins Over 69.5 Receiving Yards (+200)

Three bets baked into one small parlay! This prop has much going on, but I’m betting on C.J. Stroud and company to put on a show to end the regular season. I’ve discussed why I believe Stroud will hit this mark, and a big reason is the man he’s throwing to in this prop—Nico Collins.

Collins has broken out with the rookie signal-caller this season. The 24-year-old wide receiver has eclipsed 1100 yards with 7 touchdowns on 110 targets. He’s become a big play threat and excelled on the outside. Collins has the highest YPRR without using motion in the league and overall is second behind only Tyreek Hill.

The last time Collins faced the Colts, he went nuclear. The Texans WR secured seven catches on nine targets for 146 yards and a touchdown. His numbers shouldn’t go down because of the loss of Tank Dell, as Collins receives targets in 12 personnel sets and against zone coverage at an above-average clip.

The table is set for another potential breakout game from the third-year wide receiver.

C.J. Stroud Over 1.5 Touchdowns & Texans Win (+175)

Despite the monster game by C.J. Stroud and the Texans’ passing attack in Week 2, they would lose to the Indianapolis Colts, 31-20.

While Gardner Minshew has admirably replaced the injured Anthony Richardson, I believe the Texans’ defense will cause the Colts fits—allowing for multiple opportunities for Stroud and the Texans to cash in and punch their ticket into the playoffs. Stroud and company will get their revenge in Week 18.
