One would think so, but it doesn’t feel like it. Despite them being the two best quarterbacks on the planet, it doesn’t feel the same as Allen vs. Mahomes.
Part of that is that Mahomes has dominated the matchup between the two teams. Since 2018, Mahomes and the Chiefs are 3-1 against the Ravens. The Ravens’ lone victory—the last time these teams met in 2021—was a stunning come-from-behind triumph after the Ravens had trailed 35-24 while heading into the fourth quarter. They ultimately emerged victorious, 36-35, courtesy of two Jackson rushing scores.
Of their four matchups, three have been decided by one score or less. So again, why isn’t this rivalry?
