The best bet: Baltimore Ravens (-4)
The Baltimore Ravens have been the best team in their conference all season. Before clinching the AFC in Week 17, the Ravens dominated their opposition week in and week out. They can beat you in many different ways and always play complementary football in all three phases.
The Ravens’ defense has been absolutely dominant. In the regular season, Baltimore ranked sixth in total yards and passing yards per game, first in points allowed per game, and tied for first in takeaways. At this time of the year, I love betting on the better defense.
The offense, led by MVP favorite Lamar Jackson, was very similar to their defense in the regular season. They ranked sixth in yards per game, first in rushing yards per game, and fourth in points per game. I think the Ravens will use their rushing attack to their advantage and try to shorten the game and keep Patrick Mahomes off the field.
Another reason why the Ravens are my best bet for this game is their health. They are as healthy as it gets at this point in the season and are coming off two weeks of not playing with their bye week and resting starters in Week 18. They are fresh and are welcoming former All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews back to their already healthy roster.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs are dealing with a few key injuries. Guard Joe Thuney and running back Isiah Pacheco have not practiced yet this week as their status remains up in the air.
M&T Bank Stadium should be rocking on Sunday. The Ravens will have a clear home-field advantage, and that should give them some extra juice to clinch their spot in Super Bowl LVIII.
I like the Ravens to run away with this one. I think they are the better team and have displayed that throughout the entire season.
