The New York Jets have given themselves many draft options
For the New York Jets, the 2024 offseason has come up almost all checks so far.
Two new tackles? Insert Morgan Moses and Tyron Smith. No. 2 receiver to complement Garrett Wilson as a deep threat with contested catch ability? Mike Williams, check. New starting guard? Check. Jordan Whitehead upgrade? Check. Bring back stud special teams core? Check. Joe Douglas deserves a ton of credit for his wheeling and dealing.
That suddenly makes the draft a lot more interesting. There’s a whole month available for Jets fans to argue about what the team should do in the first round.
In today’s episode of The Score Boord Podcast, we discuss just that: what should the Jets’ focus in the draft be? Should they trade up for Marvin Harrison Jr., as Daniel Jeremiah proposed in his most recent mock draft? Should a different receiver be on their radar? How about offensive tackle? Trade up or trade down? Are Troy Fautanu and Brock Bowers intriguing options? Why is no one talking about J.C. Latham?
We also go through the Jets’ remaining needs and the top options available at those positions. Don’t expect the typical names at backup running back, edge rusher, or even big-nickel safety. We also discuss the top swing tackle options available; there are surprisingly many decent players still unsigned.
