New York Jets stars quickly reacted on social media after the Jets acquired Haason Reddick
It’s safe to say that the New York Jets’ star defenders are very excited to have a new addition on their roster.
Multiple Jets defenders posted their reactions to the move after the team’s trade for edge rusher Haason Reddick.
Star cornerback Sauce Gardner tweeted, “Joe D did it again,” before providing a funny commentary on how he saw the negotiations going down for the trade.

The team’s defensive players’ excitement is very warranted, as Reddick has been one of the NFL’s most productive pass rushers in recent years.
Reddick has had 13 or more sacks in his past four seasons, with his career high of 18 coming in 2022 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He also has a pass-rush win rate of 22.7% over the past four seasons, good for fifth-best in the NFL.

There is a valid argument that, instead of trading for the veteran pass-rusher, the team should have retained Bryce Huff and kept their draft capital. But the past cannot be changed, and Reddick’s addition is great for a team in a “win-now” window.
Reddick should be able to immediately become a force on the Jets’ defensive line, forming a formidable unit with Quinnen Williams, Jermaine Johnson, John-Franklin Myers, and others.
Additionally, he could mentor Will McDonald, allowing the second-year edge rusher to begin realizing his potential.
The Jets’ path to arriving at the trade for Reddick was not perfect, but for a team in their position, it was a necessary move.
