Yes, Aaron Rodgers can still spin that football
The only thing better than hearing that Aaron Rodgers is tearing up the New York Jets defense is hearing one of the most beloved players in franchise history relay a similar message.
In reality, Rodgers didn’t exactly “tear up” Robert Saleh’s defense. It was instead about how Rodgers looked while considering his comeback bid from a devastating Achilles injury sustained four snaps into the 2023 season.
And boy, did he look good.

Tuesday started in a standard way: beginning with team stretches before breaking out into positionals. After broader positionals, Rodgers took center stage in team and 7v7 sessions.
He hit running back Xazavien Valladay on a check-down early in the session, making it clear that Rodgers hasn’t lost his pre-snap touch. Although it doesn’t appear that he’s lost anything off his fastball, Rodgers’s quarterback mind is what should have Jets fans feeling secure about his production in the 2024 season.
Simply put, an elite quarterback gets to that absurd level only if his mind is elite. And for Aaron Rodgers, that is absolutely still the case.
