New York Jets players seem confident about their Olympic potential
Do you think any New York Jets players could be Olympians?
In a social media post to celebrate the beginning of the 2024 Olympic Games, the Jets asked players what Olympic sport they could play. To no one’s surprise, the answers were tremendous.
Things we learned about the guys:
– @quincywilliams_ was a Junior Olympic swimmer
– @z4days is niiiiice at javelin throw
– you don't wanna wrestle @BraelonAllenanyways, good luck @TeamUSA! pic.twitter.com/x1Z1LwKROm

Garrett Wilson was arguably the most confident about his Olympic potential, saying “There are about eight sports I could get gold in.” Wilson specifically highlighted basketball, bobsledding, and skateboarding.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers picked a non-summer sport, curling, while Breece Hall asked which sport “requires no athleticism” to participate in. Punter Thomas Morstead said he would pick “long track ice speedskating,” and rookie Qwan’tez Stiggers said “lifting people’s spirits up” would be his choice.
Some players’ answers revealed their athletic pasts and futures. Linebacker Quincy Williams said he participated in the Junior Olympics for swimming and has his “first two gold medals tattooed” on his back. Defensive lineman Solomon Thomas said he would “win gold” in bobsledding and said he is “going to do it after football.”
Running back Isaiah Davis picked javelin and said he “almost went to college” for the sport to help pay for his scholarship. Fellow running back Braelon Allen picked wrestling and gave a list of accomplishments to back up his claim.
“I’m a national champion wrestler. Eight-time youth state champion. Three-time youth national champion. One-time high school national champion,” said Allen.
It is good to see that the Jets are confident in their athletic abilities. Who knows, though? Maybe some of the players will go from representing the Jets to representing Team USA as the host country of the 2028 Summer Olympics.
