Like the fans of the team, New York Jets players are not happy with their “Madden NFL 25” ratings.
Multiple players reacted to their ratings in this year’s game in a post from the team’s X (formerly Twitter) account.

Rookie Qwan’tez Stiggers was in shock over his 67 overall rating and his 60 awareness rating. In response, he said EA did not watch his tape.
“Y’all must not have seen my CFL tape? Six interceptions, 57 tackles, 13 pass breakups.”
Garrett Wilson was not thrilled with Tony Adams’s or Jermaine Johnson’s ratings, while Sauce Gardner said Wilson’s 85 overall rating needs to be higher. Michael Carter II said there is “no way” he should be rated a 79 overall.
Regarding specific ratings, Wilson was shocked at only having 92 speed and that Breece Hall was faster than him. Braelon Allen called his strength rating of 79 “disrespectful,” and Joe Tippmann was shocked by his low agility rating.
The most shocked reactions were due to quarterback Aaron Rodgers having an 83 overall rating. Gardner called it disrespectful, while Wilson looked bewildered when he realized he was higher rated than his quarterback.
It is always fun to see how players react to Madden ratings because it is usually very similar to how fans react. Many of the numbers feel arbitrary.
Madden ratings are not gospel, though. They are a fun discussion point for a few weeks before everyone moves on and focuses on the actual football. They are not to be taken seriously in the grand scheme of things.
However, it is good that the players have strong opinions on the ratings. The disrespect can fuel the fire for a Jets team that is already doubted by many.
