The star wide receiver of the New York Jets had enough of a fellow New York wideout being slandered.

Garrett Wilson, responding to a post from an angry Giants fan complaining about rookie Malik Nabers’s drops, kept his response very simple and to the point.

Nabers is off to a phenomenal start with the Giants. Through his first four NFL games, the sixth overall pick has recorded 35 receptions for 386 yards and three touchdowns. Nabers leads the NFL in all three categories.

On most occasions, fans try to pit players like Nabers and Wilson against each other. Arguments emerge regarding who the better player is, and people try to put down the player they see as worse.

However, it is essential to remember that players will typically have each other’s backs in reality. Wilson, as evidenced by his social media post, supports Nabers as a player. The star New York Jet does not want to see the rookie from LSU receive what is, in his eyes, unwarranted criticism.

This plays out all across the NFL and has played out with the Jets. Despite extensive struggles, New York players largely defended Zach Wilson during his tenure. Former and current players rally around each other in times of need or when they feel someone is being unfairly criticized.

Ultimately, the NFL is a brotherhood for all of the players who currently and previously played in the league. Wilson’s comment reinforces that, regardless of what fans try to say or portray, that will always be the case.
