Aaron Rodgers has put a lingering question surrounding the New York Jets to bed, at least for now.

Appearing on the “Pat McAfee Show,” the quarterback said that he and head coach Robert Saleh do not have an issue with their relationship. Rodgers said he has “two choices” regarding how to react to the chatter about his relationship with the Jets’ head coach.

“There are always going to be messaging and narratives out there. You have two choices: ride the wave, but really a roller coaster, or you can just say f-k it, I don’t care. I’m the latter; I do not get into the conversations going on outside the building about myself or the relationships I have,” said Rodgers.

“The most important ones are looking a guy in the eye in the locker room or the meeting room and knowing you have each other’s backs. Rob and I have a great relationship. We have since day one when I got here… We have a good friendship.”

Rodgers spoke about how he is feeling after Sunday’s game and what went wrong against the Broncos.

“I’m feeling a little banged up. I took some shots, and my knee is feeling a little swollen. Just some wear and tear. I am hoping we can all have a little perspective here. This felt like an outlier game, and obviously, Denver has a really solid defense. The weather, their defense, and our lack of execution created a pretty bad combination that caused us to only put up nine points.”

Regarding the weather, he also said that the Jets must embrace the poor conditions when they play at MetLife Stadium.

“When it’s crappy weather like that, we’ve gotta embrace it and use it to our advantage.”

Rodgers also spoke about the team’s cadence issues and how they are being addressed going forward.

“I’ve used my cadence my entire career. I didn’t make it up; I stole it from the legend in front of me. I changed some numbers around a little bit and added some additional types of cadences to it…Everything that we do in the game, we do in practice. It’s a weapon for us, and we’ve just gotta stay onside. The cadence is the cadence is the cadence.”

With the narratives put to bed for now, Rodgers can turn his focus toward a critical game against the Vikings.
