The former dynamic duo of the Green Bay Packers is back in business in New York.

During his weekly appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show,” Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was joined by his old and now current teammate Davante Adams.

On the show, Adams spoke about being reunited with his old quarterback in New York, how his hamstring feels, and what he expects for the rest of the 2024 season.

“We’re back, man. We’re back… I’m feeling great. I was working with the staff over in Vegas the whole time, and they got me back right. Fortunately, I’ll be able to roll. I’m sure there are a few new little nuances [that he needs to learn within the Jets offense]. But for the most part, it’s a lot of the same verbiage and still the same OG right here. So, I should be able to pick up where we left off. That’s the idea.”

Rodgers also spoke about the move and expressed his satisfaction with it.

“He infuses a lot of energy into the team right away. He is a proven star player and an incredible locker-room presence…It’s definitely adding a lot to our team, and this move lets everybody know that we’re going all in.”

Sitting at 2-4, New York is by no means in a great position. They have shown numerous issues throughout their three-game losing streak, such as the run defense or having consistent pass blocking on offense.

However, adding Adams helps to solve any concerns about their weapons. Between Adams, Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and Breece Hall, the Jets should be able to attack defenses in any way they choose. Additionally, Hall and Braelon Allen should see even more space in the running game, as defenses must back off to respect the threat of Adams and Wilson on the outside.

Ultimately, it just comes down to winning football games and executing in all phases of the game. If Adams can help the offense achieve success, the move will fully be worth it.
