As per usual, players on the New York Jets are giving back to their community.
After their victory over the Houston Texans, star wideout Garrett Wilson and defensive lineman Solomon Thomas volunteered at the Food Bank for New York City in Harlem.

ESPN reporter Rich Cimini added that the Jets’ duo “served meals to residents coping with food insecurity” and that Wilson “estimated that he has received 500 congratulatory texts since the game.”
It is no surprise to see Thomas helping out in this capacity. The defensive lineman does consistently great work with his organization, The Defensive Line. Focused on helping people of color struggling with suicide, Thomas runs multiple initiatives and travels across the country to give people the resources and help they need.
It is also tremendous to see Wilson step into a more front-facing role. As one of the most talented and important players on the team, the wideout has the ability to make a big impact in the community and become a role model for so many.
In this capacity, there is no better person to learn from than Thomas. Both players are contributors on the field for the Jets, and with their continued charity work, they are great representatives for the organization off the field.
