FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Olu Fashanu is getting all the help he needs from the New York Jets’ entire offensive line room.
During his media availability, the rookie left tackle spoke about how the other veterans on the offensive line have helped him develop this season.

“Yeah, they’ve been a huge help. To be in a room with guys as accomplished them, that’s all you can ask for is a rookie. But it’s not just them; it’s genuinely everyone in the room. They’ve just been around me throughout this whole process, and I’m super thankful to be in that room.”
When I asked Fashanu about what he is looking to improve on this week, he said it is all about the little details.
“I mean, I always approach every week the same. I’m just trying to, you know, find certain tweaks in my game that I can improve. Going into this week, I always have the same approach in finding different details in the running or passing game for me to improve.”
It is evident how much the offensive line loves Fashanu. During his entire media availability, players like Morgan Moses were hyping him up and messing with him in the background. The rookie has immediately fit in with the team and has become a valued part of their unit.
As great as Fashanu has been off the field, his play on the field is just as important. The rookie has shown great flashes in pass protection and run blocking while also holding his own at two unnatural positions for him. He has shown a willingness to help the team in any capacity, which is evidently not overlooked by his teammates.
For the Jets to succeed in the remainder of the 2024 season, the entire team needs to be playing their best football. With how some of the injuries along the offensive line have shaped up, Fashanu is in a position to leave his mark on the back half of New York’s schedule.
