“I think it starts with figuring out what they are and putting a stop to it.”
Additionally, Rodgers spoke about the idea of finishing his career on a potentially disappointing note.
“Oh no, no. I honestly am not worried about that at all. I think part of the process of losing self-importance is dealing with the ups and downs and the in-betweens. I’m not attached to that at all. If this is it, and it could be, nothing but gratitude for this time, for my career, for the men and women I’ve been around during my 20 years.”
When also looking at other parts of his media availability, it is evident that the weight of this season is bearing down on Rodgers. Whether due to health, poor performance, or both, the quarterback seems to know what the reality of the situation is.
At this juncture, the writing is starting to be put up on the wall. With six games left in the season, Rodgers only can rely on himself to turn around his play. How the quarterback fares down the stretch will determine not only his future but also how the New York Jets move forward.
