The New York Jets are heading across the pond once again.
In a post from their official X account, the Jets were announced as one of the teams that will host a home game in London in 2025. It marks their second consecutive season playing in London, as they lost to the Minnesota Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2024.
In a press release accompanying the announcement, team president Hymie Elhai spoke about New York heading to London once again.
“We are excited to bring the unique and entertaining atmosphere of a New York Jets home game to London as part of the 2025 NFL International Games. It is another great opportunity for our organization to build upon our brand and fandom in the U.K., which we have enjoyed cultivating over the last few years. The success of the NFL’s international games speaks directly to the sport’s increasing global reach, and we are proud to continue as ambassadors of the game.”
This will be the Jets’ first time as the “home” team for a London game, as they have been the visitors in previous appearances across the pond. With the league’s schedule release still a few months away, it is still unknown who the Jets will ultimately face.
Ahead of an offseason where the team has many decisions to make, it will be interesting to see the faces New York brings to London in 2025. Regardless of their decisions, the team and expectations the Jets take across the pond will be very different than the ones they brought with them in Week 5 of the 2024 season.
