Widely popular NFL draft expert Daniel Jeremiah has dropped his second mock draft of 2025, and he’s doubling down on his prediction for the New York Jets.

Here are the top 10 selections of Jeremiah’s mock draft 2.0:

  1. Tennessee Titans: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
  2. Cleveland Browns: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
  3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
  4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
  5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
  6. Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
  7. New York Jets: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
  8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
  9. New Orleans Saints: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
  10. Chicago Bears: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

Maintaining the same prediction from his mock draft 1.0, Jeremiah has the Jets selecting Penn State tight end Tyler Warren with the seventh overall pick. It is one of five selections in Jeremiah’s top 10 that were replicated from his first mock draft.

Explaining the prediction, Jeremiah writes, “The Jets ranked second to last in rushing offense last season, and they desperately need another target in the passing game. Warren helps them improve in both of those areas.”

Jeremiah’s logic is sound. Warren, who posted 104 receptions for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024, would immediately become the most talented pass-catching tight end to ever be drafted by New York. In addition, his prowess as a blocker should aid a run game that suffered from woeful blocking at the tight end position in 2024.

The Jets project to rely heavily on the tight end position in the scheme of offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand. The former Lions passing game coordinator hails from a Detroit offense that not only utilized 12 personnel packages at a high rate, but loved to run the ball toward the strong side on those plays. Building a quality one-two punch at the position will be an essential goal for general manager Darren Mougey this offseason.

With the most experienced tight end on their current roster being Jeremy Ruckert (0 TDs in 3 seasons to go with subpar blocking), the Jets are all but guaranteed to make multiple significant additions at the position. Jeremiah seems convinced that Warren will be one of them.
