With the 2025 NFL draft approaching, the New York Jets continue their pre-draft meetings with prospects.
According to Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline, the Jets have set up an official top-30 visit with North Dakota State quarterback Cam Miller.
While Miller is not ranked on NFL Mock Draft Database’s consensus big board with over 680 prospects, Pauline noted that scouts believe he has “cemented” himself as a late-round selection following his impressive pro day.
Per Pauline, Miller completed all 49 of his pass attempts at his pro day without a single pass hitting the ground. Pauline reports that one scout “lauded Miller’s accuracy and ball placement as well as his touch and noted the arm strength was better than advertised.”
The Iowa native attended Solon High School in Solon, Iowa, before committing to North Dakota State, where he spent all five of his college seasons.
Appearing in 67 total games for the Bison (56 starts), Miller led NDSU to a 45-11 record while completing 69.3% of his passes for 9,720 yards and 81 touchdowns with 19 interceptions.
After using his extra year of NCAA eligibility from the COVID-19 season, Miller had his breakout season in 2024. He led the Bison to a 14-2 overall record, including an FCS national championship, while completing 73.5% of his passes for 3,251 yards, 33 touchdowns, and four interceptions.
As Darren Mougey evaluates his options ahead of the draft, Miller is among the potential late-round fliers for the Jets at the quarterback position.
Although the Jets signed Justin Fields to a two-year deal worth up to $40 million, including $30 million guaranteed, his contract ranks 26th among quarterbacks in guaranteed money. Given his unproven status and financial flexibility, the Jets should not shy away from selecting a quarterback, particularly as a flier on day two or three of the draft.
