NFL Mock Draft 1.0: Which QBs end up in first round?

With under two weeks to go before the start of the 2025 Draft, many teams should feel confident they can come away with a top player.

We are just under two weeks away from the start of the 2025 draft.

The New York Jets are expected to be busy on the first night per usual, but the player they come away with will greatly be impacted on the first six picks ahead of them. With that understanding, it’s time to take a look at the most up to date mock draft heading into the stretch run of the selection process.

Let’s get to it.

NFL Mock Draft Round 1

Keep in mind we didn’t use any trades in our mock draft here. Many coaches have spoken out on their reluctance to make deals for this draft class – especially with it not being as strong a class compared to last year’s group.

That said, let’s get to the draft prediction.

1. Tennessee Titans – QB Cam Ward

This is the pick everyone can predict Tennessee to start with. They need a quarterback and Ward is the best one in the draft class.

2. Cleveland Browns – CB/WR Travis Hunter

Be prepared, everyone. A lot of these picks are going to be predetermined at this point based on the latest reports. The Heisman Trophy winner will put butts in the seats in Cleveland.

3. New York Giants – EDGE Abdul Carter

While the Giants are reportedly meeting with Shedeur Sanders a couple of weeks before the process becomes official, the safe bet is that the top defensive player of the class is the call here.

4. New England Patriots – OT Will Campbell

With Carter off the board, the Patriots swoop in on the best offensive lineman of the current draft class. If the Giants end up taking Sanders, though, it’s a safe bet Carter would be the pick here.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars – DT Mason Graham

Armand Membou would make a lot of sense here, but the Jaguars desperately need to fix their defense and Graham is a plug-and-play defensive tackle that can help change life in Duval.

6. Las Vegas Raiders – RB Ashton Jeanty

Everyone and their mother has been mocking Jeanty to the Raiders and I will not be any different.

7. New York Jets – OT Armand Membou

Tight end fans will be upset, but the Jets make the right pick for the future of the franchise with the offensive tackle selection.

8. Carolina Panthers – EDGE Jalon Walker

Walker is an athletic freak and one that the Carolina Panthers seem almost destined to take at this point.

9. New Orleans Saints – QB Shedeur Sanders

Sanders will fall to nine in this mock draft solely because the Giants pass on him. New Orleans needs a quarterback now with Derek Carr dealing with a shoulder injury.

10. Chicago Bears – TE Tyler Warren

With Warren falling to the 10th overall pick, new head coach Ben Johnson gets his own Sam LaPorta with the Penn State product.

11. San Francisco 49ers – CB Will Johnson

The 49ers could go with many different options here, including offensive and defensive line. Their opening at corner this offseason, though, makes Johnson a safe player to draft.

12. Dallas Cowboys – WR Tetairoa McMillan

Dallas could go with Luther Burden III here, but with CeeDee Lamb manning the slot, McMilan’s big frame will fit well with what the Cowboys want to do on offense under Brian Schottenheimer.

13 Miami Dolphins – OT Josh Simmons

Keeping Tua Tagovailoa upright is important. Simmons is arguably the top offensive line prospect after Membou and Campbell are gone.

14. Indianapolis Colts – TE Colston Loveland

This seems like another no-brainer of a pick in this draft. Loveland can give Anthony Richardson a pass catcher over the middle he can trust to save his career.

15. Atlanta Falcons – EDGE Shemar Stewart

The run of edge rushers begins here. Stewart doesn’t have the college production but has the size and intangibles to make an immediate impact with Atlanta.

16. Arizona Cardinals – EDGE Mykel Williams

Williams could go where San Francisco picks, but with the 49ers taking Will Johnson, it seems like it’s a safe bet that Jonathan Gannon looks to bolster his defense even after signing Josh Sweat.

17. Cincinnati Bengals – EDGE Mike Green

The run on edge rushers ends with the Marshall star from the Senior Bowl. Green has the potential to be a steal at 17 here, but with Trey Hendrickson wanting a new deal, this could be the first step for Cincinnati to replace him.

18. Seattle Seahawks – WR Emeka Egbuka

Seattle needs pass catchers to work with Sam Darnold as the starting quarterback. They roll with Egbuka and the work he was able to accomplish in college at Ohio State.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – LB Jihaad Campbell

Campbell has some injury concerns, but the Buccaneers need a future replacement for Lavonte David and draft it here with the top player at the position.

20. Denver Broncos – RB Omarion Hampton

You could certainly pencil in Hampton to go to the Cowboys, but this is a match made in heaven with Sean Payton and his offense running the show in Denver.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers – QB Jalen Milroe

Surprise! Dart isn’t the third quarterback to go after all. In fact, without any trades, he will fall out of the first round while Pittsburgh makes up for not drafting Jalen Hurts in 2020 by taking his college clone.

22. Los Angeles Chargers – WR Luther Burden III

Hallelujah! The Chargers give Justin Herbert a true top receiver in Jim Harbaugh’s offense to bolster their offense in 2025.

23. Green Bay Packers – DT Derrick Harmon

This may seem like a reach for Harmon, but the Packers need interior defensive line help and the Oregon product would be an excellent selection here in the draft.

24. Minnesota Vikings – OL Grey Zabel

Minnesota saw how flimsy their offensive line could be in their wild card loss to the Rams last year. They bolster that group in the draft with the North Dakota State standout.

25. Houston Texans – OT Kelvin Banks

Banks won’t be the only offensive lineman drafted by the Texans this cycle, but he certainly is a no-brainer choice going into the selection process here.

26. Los Angeles Rams – CB Jahdae Barron

The Rams can go in a number of different directions with their draft pick. Barron is a top corner, though, and would bolster the group as they try to take the next steps into title contention.

27. Baltimore Ravens – EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku

Keep an eye on any of the top safeties here, but the Ravens need more help along their pass rush and get it here with the Boston College standout.

28. Detroit Lions – EDGE James Pearce Jr.

Detroit learned how important getting edge rusher help is last season, so they grab the top edge rusher out of Tennessee here.

29. Washington Commanders – S Nick Emmanwori

The Washington Commanders’ secondary needs reinforcements desperately in a loaded NFC East. Emmanwori is an athletic freak who could be the perfect fit here in the draft.

30. Buffalo Bills – CB Maxwell Hairston

Most mock drafts have Hairston going to the Bills, and for good reason. The franchise needs to replace Rasul Douglas and will do so here with the Kentucky prospect.

31. Kansas City Chiefs – S Malaki Starks

Justin Reid is gone, and the Chiefs know they need to make sure their secondary stays athletic and dominant going into an important year for the franchise after a Super Bowl blowout loss.

32. Philadelphia Eagles – DT Walter Nolen

Nolen is a top 15 player with major character concerns that will eventually drop him down to the late first round. The champs will gladly take him here, though.
