Quentin Skinner
Per FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz, the Jets have signed Kansas wide receiver Quentin Skinner to an undrafted free agent (UDFA) contract with $185,000 guaranteed.
Skinner played in 49 games for the Jayhawks during his five college seasons. He totaled 1,584 yards and 11 touchdowns on 89 receptions.
Skinner’s most productive collegiate season came in 2024, when he posted 557 yards and four touchdowns on 25 receptions, averaging a stellar 22.3 yards per catch.
At 6-foot-4, 203 pounds, Skinner is a deep threat who will aim to earn a spot on the Jets’ thin wide receiver depth chart.
Donovan Edwards
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Jets inked running back Donovan Edwards to a UDFA contract.
Following an awe-inspiring 2022 season where Edwards averaged an astonishing 7.1 yards per carry, he was projected to be a first-round pick but struggled to stay consistent throughout his final two college seasons.
In 2024, the Michigan product logged 128 carries, which he took for 589 yards (4.6 yards per carry) and four touchdowns. Edwards is also a receiving threat out of the backfield, recording 797 yards and four touchdowns throughout his college career.
It will be an uphill battle for Edwards to crack the team’s 53-man roster with Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, and Isaiah Davis ahead of him on the depth chart; however, with an impressive summer, anything is possible.
Dean Clark
According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, the Jets have signed safety Dean Clark.
Clark began his college football career at Kent State, where he spent four years before transferring to Fresno State. There, he capped off his collegiate career with two seasons as a starter.
At his pro day, Clark posted an impressive 9.35 Relative Athletic Score (RAS), clocked a 4.49 in the 40-yard dash, and showcased his explosiveness with a 41-inch vertical jump.
The former three-star recruit appeared in 12 games for the Bulldogs during the 2024 season, posting 63 combo tackles (four for loss), an interception, and five pass deflections.
After selecting Malachi Moore on Saturday, the Jets’ safety group now includes Andre Cisco, Tony Adams, Jaliyn Simpson, Jarius Monroe, and Moore. With many of these players lacking significant proven production, Clark has a legitimate chance to secure a spot on New York’s 53-man roster this summer.
