With training camp fast approaching, roster battles are set to take center stage among New York Jets fans, and several undrafted free agents will be part of the discussion.
Here are the three UDFAs with the highest chances to earn a spot on the Jets’ 53-man roster for the 2025 season.
3. WR Quentin Skinner
A two-star recruit coming out of high school, Skinner walked on at Kansas and spent five seasons as a Jayhawk.
Skinner appeared in 49 games across his five seasons, finishing his college career with 89 receptions for 1,584 yards and 11 touchdowns, with only three career drops.
His most productive campaign came in 2024, when he tallied 557 yards and four touchdowns on just 25 catches, averaging an explosive 22.3 yards per reception.
At 6-foot-5 and 195 pounds, Skinner brings size and explosiveness as a potential deep threat and possession receiver for New York.
With limited proven depth behind Garrett Wilson, Skinner could carve out a spot on the 53-man roster and impact the offense during the regular season if he consistently showcases his playmaking ability this summer.
2. DT Payton Page
Page committed to Clemson as a five-star recruit and spent all four of his college seasons as a Tiger.
Throughout his four seasons with Clemson, the North Carolina native appeared in 53 games, posting 60 combined tackles (eight for loss), 0.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries.
In 2024, Page played in 14 games while logging 32 total tackles (three for loss) with 0.5 sacks and a pick-six.
As a run-defender in 2024, Page thrived, earning an impressive 76.9 run defense grade from Pro Football Focus.
While he hasn’t posted eye-popping sack totals, Page consistently disrupted opposing backfields in 2024, recording 24 pressures — tied for 34th among Power Five defensive tackles with at least 300 snaps. He also earned a 73.6 pass-rush grade from Pro Football Focus.
The Jets currently lack a clear-cut starter alongside Quinnen Williams on the interior defensive line. With a strong summer, Page, who stands at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, could emerge as a rotational option or even compete for the starting role.
1. S Dean Clark
Clark began his college career at Kent State before transferring to Fresno State, where he wrapped up his time with two solid seasons as a starting safety.
Across his six-season college career, the safety appeared in 59 total games, while posting 304 combined tackles (seven for loss), five interceptions, 14 pass deflections, and a forced fumble.
In 2024, he appeared in 12 games for the Bulldogs, registering 63 total tackles (including four for loss), one interception, and five pass breakups.
The 6-foot-1, 206-pound defensive back turned heads at his pro day, posting a 9.35 Relative Athletic Score, running a 4.49-second 40-yard dash, and leaping 41 inches in the vertical jump.
Following the Jets’ selection of Malachi Moore in the draft, New York’s safety room now includes Moore, Andre Cisco, Tony Adams, Jaylin Simpson, and Jarius Monroe, a group still searching for consistent production.
Clark has the highest chance among all the Jets’ UDFA signings to find his way onto the team’s 53-man roster, given the lack of depth at the safety position.
