Garrett Wilson’s faith in the New York Jets has never wavered.
Speaking to reporters on the first day of veteran arrivals at 2025 training camp, Wilson said he remains confident in the organization and committed to helping build a winning culture in New York.
“I’ve always kept my faith that this thing is going to turn around and I’d be a part of why,” he told reporters.
The Ohio State product also added that New York’s long-term commitment to him meant “a lot”.
Wilson and the Jets agreed on a four-year extension worth $130 million, including $90 million guaranteed, locking him up with the Jets through the 2030 season. The deal makes Wilson the NFL’s fifth-highest paid receiver by average annual value at $32.5 million and places him fourth in total guaranteed money.
Despite hauling in receptions from a carousel of eight different quarterbacks, Wilson has established himself as one of the NFL’s most steady pass catchers, eclipsing 1,000 receiving yards in three straight seasons.
Throughout his first three NFL seasons, Wilson has reeled in 279 of his 469 targets for 3,249 yards and 14 touchdowns.
With long-term security in the Big Apple, Wilson is committed to consistently delivering results. His production through turmoil speaks for itself, but reunited with his college quarterback, the Jets’ top receiver believes his best is yet to come.
Wilson’s next step is helping change the narrative in New York while remaining a steady presence within the team’s offense.
