The New York Jets are desperate to avoid an 0-6 start as they travel overseas for their Week 6 matchup against the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Standing in their way is a Denver team riding high after an upset win over the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. The Broncos feature one of the NFLโ€™s most complete defenses, ranking among the leagueโ€™s leaders against both the pass and the run.

Can the Jets finally break through under first-year head coach Aaron Glenn and earn their first win of the season on international turf?

Hereโ€™s a look at the inactive list for Gang Green this morning.

Jets Inactive List vs. Broncos

  • CB Michael Carter II
  • WR Allen Lazard
  • DE Tyler Baron
  • TE Jelani Woods
  • OT Esa Pole
  • RB/KR Khalil Herbert
  • DT Leonard Taylor III

Dealing with a concussion, cornerback Michael Carter II, who has struggled mightily through five games, will miss his second consecutive game. He did not travel with the team to London.

The same holds true for wide receiver Allen Lazard, who also didn’t travel with the team and will miss today’s game due to a “personal reason” as head coach Aaron Glenn described it to reporters this week.

Tight end Jelani Woods and offensive tackle Esa Pole are once again listed as healthy scratches for the Jets, continuing a season-long trend. Running back and special teamer Khalil Herbert, who made his Jets debut last week, is also inactive, as returner Isaiah Williams has been elevated from the practice squad to resume his duties.

Fifth-round rookie Tyler Baron is inactive for the second time this season as Jermaine Johnson returns to the team’s starting lineup.

For the third straight week, defensive tackle Leonard Taylor III will not suit up.

Despite being a late-week addition to the injury report (neck), cornerback Brandon Stephens will play.

Johnson and running back/kick returner Kene Nwangwu will return to the team’s starting lineup after multi-game absences. It gives New York significant boosts on the edge and in the return game, two areas where the team has struggled mightily this year.
