New York Jets fans weren’t pleased with the offensive unit’s play in a 13-11 loss to the Denver Broncos. The passing offense totaled -10 passing yards, a new franchise low.

Now, the unit’s star weapon has suffered an injury that has Jet fans worried about the remainder of the season and his future.

Garrett Wilson Injury Update

Following Sunday’s loss, Connor Hughes of SNY reported that Wilson suffered a knee injury during the team’s loss to Denver. He is expected to get an MRI on Monday.

On the final offensive snap of the game for the veteran wideout, Wilson had to twist his body to try to record a catch on third-and-eight. While he didn’t come up with the catch, the receiver was hit to knock the ball loose. He wasn’t on the field for the final offensive play of the day.

In the locker room, the AFC’s third-leading receiver deflected any questions regarding his injury.

“I’m just trying to wait for the stuff to come back,” Wilson said. “It’s really messing with my mental and I don’t want to think about it.”

Through six games, Wilson has recorded 36 catches for 395 yards and four touchdowns. He is the only Jets wide receiver with more than five catches this season, and the only pass catcher with over 200 yards receiving.

Without Wilson, there are serious concerns for the Jets’ passing attack after its record-setting disaster in London. All eyes in Florham Park will be on the MRI coming up for New York’s best offensive player.
