Every NHL and MLB team has a ranking of its best prospects. The teams with the best futures have prospects at or near the top of the league ranking.

The NFL has a different way of judging its prospects. They either play immediately or sit out for a year to learn the game. Unlike in baseball or hockey, there is no developmental league for the NFL’s younger players.

That means it is usually easy to determine whether a team’s future is bright.

The New York Jets understand that they have a young core of talented individuals. Today, it’s time to rank those top prospects on the Jets for the upcoming 2025 season.

Top 10 Jets Prospects

The criteria for our ranking system are simple. Each player on this list is under 25 years old at the current moment. All players have a level of potential that makes them intriguing prospects for New York going into the 2025 season.

Our judgment comes from regular season production, full potential, and future hopes beyond the 2025 campaign.

Without further ado, let’s break down our list of the Jets’ top prospects.

10. WR Malachi Corley

We kick off our list with the most controversial choice. Corley is a former third-round pick who has proven nothing on an NFL field and could very well be off the roster if he doesn’t pick it up during camp.

The reason why he is on this list is simple, though.

While the Western Kentucky product hasn’t delivered on anything yet, the “YAC King” still has the potential to be a quality player in the right offense.

9. CB Azareye’h Thomas

Much like prospect lists in baseball or hockey, recently drafted players can make the list. Thomas, New York’s third-round pick in 2025, is a lockdown press-man corner who can find himself on the field earlier than anticipated.

8. RB Braelon Allen

Allen is the kind of power running back that is perfect for offenses in the modern NFL. Defenses have gotten faster and more athletic, but smaller in the front seven. That leaves a physical player like Allen to be a matchup nightmare around the league.

7. TE Mason Taylor

Taylor has a chance to be one of the best up-and-coming players at the tight end position moving forward. His role in New York’s offense could fundamentally change how the organization looks in the passing game.

6. OT Armand Membou

If Membou is anything close to how he was in college, the Jets will have an offensive line full of top prospects. You can build a championship team off that foundation.

5. RB Breece Hall

There was a time when Hall could make a claim for being the top prospect on this list. Injuries and a poor season in 2024 have pushed him down.

When fully healthy, Hall can be a dependable weapon on any offense. His questionable future with the team puts him in the five-spot here.

4. OT Olu Fashanu

He hasn’t started for a full season, but the limited action Fashanu saw last season showed he can be one of the better up-and-coming tackles in the game. He can take a major step in that direction with a big year in 2025.

3. C Joe Tippmann

Tippmann was a top-10 center in the league last year in just his second season. He has the potential to be one of the best in football. At just 24 years old, the Wisconsin prospect is one of New York’s best.

2. WR Garrett Wilson

Wilson is New York’s best offensive prospect. He has set a franchise record for most receiving yards and catches to start a career. With competent quarterback play, the former Ohio State product should etch his name among the top 10 of his position moving forward.

1. CB Sauce Gardner

No prospect under the age of 25 has had the kind of success that Gardner has enjoyed during his first three years with the Jets. The former fourth overall pick was the first defensive back in league history to be named a first-team All-Pro in each of his first two years in the league.

While he is coming off a down year, Gardner is still a bright star who seems to be on the precipice of all-time greatness.
