Fantasy league winners donโ€™t have to produce early in the year; they could be hiding right under our noses, waiting for the right opportunity.

That opportunity could come from injuries, scheme changes, or gained trust. With that in mind, as the Week 6 Sunday slate kicks off, here are four sleepers who could become full-time starters in your leagues.

Jets WR Omar Cooper Jr.ย

Omar Cooper Jr. returns to practice this week and is in line for strong production.

Despite unfavorable weather in two of their five games, the Jets’ offense has been solid enough to sustain multiple fantasy options, including Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Braelon Allen in Hall’s absence.

We saw the volume Adonai Mitchell received in the first two weeks before his injury (15 targets), and Cooper showed his YAC ability on his only reception of the season: a 30-yard catch-and-run. He could become a FLEX option going forward.

The Jets have also deployed 11 personnel (1 RB, 1 TE, 3 WRs) on 58.4% of their offensive snaps, meaning Cooper should have plenty of opportunities to carve out a role in the passing attack.

Mitchell is set to undergo finger surgery, which could keep him out a few more weeks and give Cooper even more runway.

Steelers WR Germie Bernard

Germie Bernard has received nothing but praise in Pittsburgh, especially from Aaron Rodgers.

Rookie receivers normally need time to produce consistently with Aaron Rodgers, as Christian Watson did in 2022, but Bernard seems to have earned the Hall of Famer’s trust in just five weeks.

Bernard hauled in a team-high six catches on nine targets for 80 yards against the Colts, and faces favorable matchups most of the way.

The nine targets are particularly promising. If Bernard keeps receiving that volume of targets from Rodgers, he could certainly blossom into a reliable option.

Texans RB Woody Marks

Stashing handcuff running backs carries more risk than rostering players who see consistent starting time.

Youโ€™re banking on a setback to an established starter, and Marks’ owners just got it.

Marks has steadily eaten into David Montgomeryโ€™s role this season, even taking on more goal-line attempts, which Montgomery had specialized in.

After Montgomery left Week 5 early with a groin injury, Marks earned 15 carries for 62 yards (4.1 yards per attempt) and added 23 yards on four receptions.

Now, with Montgomery considered week-to-week, Marks is officially set to take over as Houston’s lead back in his absence. The workload alone makes Marks a worthwhile addition. He possesses RB2/FLEX upside as Montgomery is sidelined.

Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers

Retirement was the biggest topic of discussion around Aaron Rodgers this offseason, so few people even considered him a serious fantasy option.

But with three straight three-touchdown performances and 22 fantasy points in each, he’s definitely someone to consider.

Rodgers is the QB5 over the last three weeks, ahead of highly drafted players like Josh Allen.

At this point, his production is becoming hard to pass up. If you are a manager struggling to find consistency at QB, Rodgers is certainly a name to consider. He faces a fairly light schedule over the next five weeks before four straight tough outings, which could leave him on your bench.

However, for the fantasy playoffs, he is expected to face the Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and the Tennessee Titans, with Carolina and Tennessee being solid matchups.

That said, Rodgers is an intruiging streaming option in the short term, and his schedule down the stretch makes it possible that he could become valuable again once the playoffs roll around.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee

The loss of Terrance Ferguson opened an opportunity in the Los Angeles Rams’ deep tight end room, including Higbee, Colby Parkinson, and Davis Allen.

Since Fergusonโ€™s injury, Higbee ranks as the TE10 and has run the second-most routes (124), behind just Trey McBride and AJ Barner (136).

Heโ€™s dominating the snap share and route share in the Ramsโ€™ tight end room, while making the most of his opportunites without Ferguson.

That’s exactly what you want to see when looking for depth tight end options. Reliable production is hard to find in backup TEs, and when a player like Higbee can see increased opportunities, as he has, it’s valuable.

As long as Ferguson remains out, Higbee should serve as a viable streaming option at tight end.
