Late-season breakout cornerback Arthur Maulet is running it back with the New York Jets in 2020.
The New York Jets entered the offseason lacking bodies at outside cornerback. Finally, they have made a move at the position. Arthur Maulet is re-upping with the Jets on a one-year deal.
CB Arthur Maulet, a non-tendered RFA, is expected to re-sign with the #Jets on a one-year deal, per source. Had an offer from another team. Started 6 games last season. A depth signing at a thin position.

Maulet signed a reserves/future contract with the Jets in January of 2019 and made the opening-week roster as a special teams contributor.
After three games with the team, Maulet was waived and re-signed to the practice squad. He returned to the active roster in Week 9.
After Nate Hairston was benched, Maulet took over as a starter in Week 10 and held onto the role throughout the remainder of the season, averaging 57 defensive snaps per game. Maulet missed two games (Week 14 vs. Miami, Week 15 at Baltimore) due to injury before returning for the final two weeks.
Maulet played surprisingly well after being tossed into the action. Over 38 targets from Weeks 10-17, he allowed 259 yards (6.8 per target) and 12 first downs (32% rate). The New Orleans native figures to compete with Blessuan Austin and Darryl Roberts for a starting spot on the outside.
