Robby Anderson is still feeling those Big Apple vibes. This kid just cannot help how he feels.

The Carolina Panthers wide receiver decided to get a little nostalgic on Thursday by announcing his favorite all-time NBA team, the 1999 New York Knicks.

Anderson, 26 (27 in May), is fresh off signing a 2-year, $20 million deal with the Panthers after Joe Douglas and the New York Jets drew a line in the sand. He’ll now be reunited with former Temple head coach Matt Rhule.

As far as the Knicks are concerned, the moment Larry Johnson poured in that famed 4-point play, Anderson was a cool six years of age (having just turned six on May 9). I’m not sure about anybody else, but it’s wholly ridiculous to claim a “favorite basketball team” during your age-five year of life.

Either way, this Robby Anderson. This is what he does. His social media activity has endeared his personality to Jets fans nationwide, and it’ll most likely continue even while he’s in Carolina.

Hey, anybody who doesn’t like the 1999 Knicks should not be invited to the party, and Anderson should always have his invite sent out early. At the same time, Robby Anderson… come on, man; you don’t remember that team in any fashion that eclipses a couple of moments when you were a kindergartener.

In 62 career games with the Jets, Robby Anderson put forth 3,059 yards and 20 touchdowns on 207 total receptions.
